Usability suggestions for DaoGen

Posted by anonymous 07.08.2004 06:09

The more I use DaoGen the more I like it. However, the more I use it the more I wish it was faster to generate and save the pages.

I have two suggestions:

1) Generate pages from SQL
2) Automatically zip and download pages.

#2 would be very easy to implement and would be a real time saver.

Thanks for the great tool.

Thanks for good feedback. I would like to apologize for the long delay for replying. I was travelling in Rhodes and just came back.

Sounds interesting. Do you mean that option 1. should input SQL create table statement and make classes from that? Option 2. really sounds quite easy to implement. I will put that on the list of todo-items!

Exactly. Like the XML form, the ability to paste in the table structure SQL query to create the class. This, combined with automatic file downloading would be a thing of beauty!

Ok, I added your suggestions in my ToDo list. I do think that they are both good ideas, but please do not excpect them to appear here too soon. It is just that I can spare only little time for the development at the moment.
