Compliments and minor suggestion

Posted by anonymous 24.02.2005 21:13

First of all I would like to compliment you with your excellent site and especially with the DaoGen tool.

My suggestion is quite simple, but can save your users some time whilest using the DaoGen.
Perhaps you've thought of this yourself and don't want to do this for specific reasons, but I'll post it anyway :-).

If you would put the generated files in frames, it would be easier for your users to copy/paste their code.
One step further is making the files downloadable (create tempfiles for each session and delete them after session destruction or something), then the user REALLY doesn't have to do anything anymore.

With regards,

Thanks a lot for good feedback! I appreciate it and try to find some time to develop DaoGen further. The idea of allowing users to download the files directly is really good, and actually you are not the only one asking for it. Until now I thought that it would be difficult to implement this feature, but after you asked it, I had to think it once more and I just found the way to solve the problem without too much rewriting in DaoGen. I will put this on top of the development list, but I will not promise any delivery date, since it would propably slip anyway. Thanks!
